Fabric Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work at a high-profile site in Elstree
. This is a full-time temporary role
, ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and carpentry.

40 hours per week (shift pattern to be confirmed)

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks
, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and all works are completed safely and efficiently.

• Responding to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Repairing floor and wall coverings
• Ceiling tile repairs and replacements
• General building maintenance and minor project works
• Basic plumbing, lighting and filter changes (AHU’s / FCU’s)
• Conducting site surveys and preparing method statements and risk assessments
• Using PDA systems to log work and updates
• Liaising with client representatives on-site

• Previous experience in a Fabric Technician or similar role
• Carpentry qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
• Experience in a high-profile or commercial environment
• Good understanding of health & safety (COSHH, working at height, risk assessments)
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• IT literate and comfortable using handheld/PDA systems
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
