Golden Plains Community Hospital invites an Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated team. Enjoy a balanced Monday through Friday schedule, 8 am to 5 pm, in Borger, just 52 miles from Amarillo. Our location offers easy access to New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Dallas, each about five hours away. • Medical & Surgical Care: Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose diseases, and treat eye injuries.
• Procedures: Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, laser surgery, and corneal repairs.
• Patient Care: Prescribe medication, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, and provide post-operative care.
• Documentation & Teamwork: Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR), assist with coding/billing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Specialization: May focus on subspecialties such as retina, glaucoma, or oculoplastic.

• Education: Medical Degree (MD/DO).
• Licensure: Active license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Certification: Board certified or actively pursuing board certification.
• Experience: Knowledge of, or experience with, OCT, corneal topography, and visual field testing.
• Skills: Strong microsurgical skills for delicate eye surgeries.

• Annual income range: $290,000-$342,000
• Sign-on bonus up to $30,000
• Relocation assistance up to $30,000 (with receipts)
• Generous PTO accrual of 7.08 hours per check (26 pay periods each year)
