What You'll Be Doing  
** Job Scope:
** Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete design of electrical/instrumentation assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical/instrumentation assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.  
** Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*** Creates modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technician s' sketches plans and written and verbal instructions
* Makes adjustments to drawings according to feedback from engineers or architects
* Directs the application of CAD software delivering the ability to conceptualize design with meticulous attention to detail
* Contributes to the drafting of designs by using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs
* Directs design compliance with company regulations and quality standards
* Delivers drafts of an engineer' s or architect' s design by using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs
* Ensures the accuracy of material and equipment specification s ensuring drafts a re up to building technique standards and collaborating with team members
* Designs diagrams and layouts to illustrate the workflow of designs  # Ideal Background

** High School Diploma/GED is required
** Certification:
** Certification is not required at this level.
*
* Experience:

** This position requires 5+ years of AutoCAD experience with developing P&IDs maps and design drawings with in petrochemical or refining industries  
** Required Knowledge

Skills and Abilities

*** Proficient in reading and understanding design documents such as P&IDs instrument loop drawings and schematics
* Strong knowledge and u se of Design and Drafting practices
* Proficiency in developing and maintaining all disciplines of drawings to support business units and projects
* Proficient in AutoCAD/CADWorx
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point)
* Experience utilizing electronic document management system
* Collaborative work style
