Golden Plains Community Hospital is seeking a full-time Assistant RN Director for the OR/DSU department. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with additional on-call responsibilities. The Assistant RN Director serves in multiple capacities, including caregiver, decision maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, communicator, and educator. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes using the nursing process. All practices follow professional nursing association standards to ensure safe, competent, and high-quality care that upholds patient dignity.
QualificationsEducation and formal training:
Work Experience:
Less than one month - must complete a “Preceptorship program” as determined by Nursing Education. One or more years of Perioperative experience as an RN.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Must be able to identify and address the special needs of patients of all ages, including neonate, pediatrics, adolescent, and geriatric (unit specific) and be able to effectively communicate with the patients.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in the performance standards.
- Must be able to successfully pass required exams.
- Demonstrate teamwork, self-direction, and teaching skills. Will be trained to complete managerial tasks/reports.
