Job Overview
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an LDAR Technician to join their safety‑conscious team at a customer site. The LDAR Technician identifies, documents, and tags fugitive emissions (gas leaks) from industrial components such as valves and pumps, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations.

- Ensure health & safety is the priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Perform routine, scheduled inspections of components (valves, connectors, pumps, tanks) to detect leaks of volatile organic compounds.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers such as Flame Ionization Detectors.
- Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory within databases like LeakDAS, Guide Ware, Sky Bridge.
- Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and site safety protocols.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- TWIC required.
- Confined space entry and 10‑hour OSHA training preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing and equipment (Nomex coveralls, back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, fresh‑air breathing mask, escape pack, hard hat).
- Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions.
- Must withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Physical stamina: walk long distances, stand extended periods, climb ladders up to 300 ft, and lift up to 50 lbs.
