Hydro Excavation Operator (Construction)

Remediation Services, Inc. (RSI), uses a team approach to coordinate our resources. We are staffed with seasoned professionals, highly trained project managers, equipment operators and technicians. RSIs personnel are trained in accordance with 29 CFR  and maintain their annual eight-hour updates. RSI mobilizes its own work force to provide remedial construction services. RSI, based in Independence, KS, is a premier nationwide contractor supplying innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex environmental remediation challenges.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laborer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Operating the Equipment Control high-pressure water jets to break up soil and debris

Manage the vacuum system to suction the slurry into the debris tank Position the truck and boom arm for precise excavation

Monitor water pressure, vacuum levels, and tank capacity throughout the jobPre/Post-Trip Responsibilities Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections (lights, brakes, fluid levels, hoses, nozzles)
Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance

Clean and flush the system after each job Complete driver logs and inspection reports

Qualifications:

Experience operating a Hydro Excavator Experience operating various types of heavy equipment including but not limited to dozers, excavators, loaders, water trucks and off-road haul trucks

Environmental Remediation industry experience is a plus Adhere and follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment

Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers

Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required

Work may involve confined spaces, elevated work areas, and physical labor such as lifting, bending, and carrying

Valid Drivers License and excellent driving history

Travel may be required
