Description

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a North Louisiana Office Manager for our Bossier City, LA office to provide administrative and operational support for engineering staff. This role is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly through strong day-to-day execution while also supporting higher-level coordination and organization as the role evolves. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload in a fast-paced environment.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to engineers and project managers
  • Type, format, and prepare correspondence, memos, charts, tables, and other documents
  • Proofread materials for spelling, grammar, and layout
  • Assist with Deltek-related administrative tasks
  • File and maintain documents and records
  • Make photocopies and blueline prints as required
  • Set up meetings, reserve conference rooms, and coordinate call details
  • Schedule conference registrations and related logistics
  • Make travel arrangements for engineering staff
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests
Office Operations & Coordination
  • Support the overall day-to-day operation of the office
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination to support engineers and project managers
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient office environment
  • Handle practical needs such as errands, supply coordination, and office logistics
  • Serve as a resource for resolving routine office issues
Proactive & Executive-Level Support
  • Anticipate needs and assist with managing competing priorities
  • Help organize weekly schedules, deadlines, and recurring tasks
  • Support higher-level coordination and operational activities as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve recurring processes and workflows
  • Grow into broader office operations and coordination responsibilities over time
What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • 1–2 years of related administrative or office support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Deltek preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and discretion with confidential information
  • Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Strong interpersonal, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly and adapt to unexpected requests
  • Strong sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open to evolving responsibilities
  • Interest in learning new skills and growing within the role
  • Valid Driver’s License
