Required- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working with adults in an educational environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or coordinating enrollment, advising, transition, or pathway initiatives.
- Experience working across multiple departments or stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with diverse and at‑risk populations.
- Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Experience in adult education, higher education, and/or workforce development.
- Experience leading college and career pathway development or workforce‑aligned initiatives.
- Experience facilitating courses, workshops, or academic support labs.
- Experience using data to guide program improvement and decision‑making.
- Familiarity with college‑ and community‑based supportive service systems.
The Assistant Director of College Transition Programs serves in a delegated leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of enrollment, persistence, and pathway systems within College Transition Programs (CTP). This position exercises delegated authority from the Director of College Transition Programs to lead cross‑functional efforts that support student access, onboarding, retention, completion, and successful transition into adult education, workforce training, and postsecondary pathways.
While this role includes direct engagement with students and partners, its primary function is program‑level leadership and accountability for enrollment strategy, advising systems, transition support, pathway execution, and performance outcomes that directly affect institutional effectiveness, funding justification, and scalability across campuses and partners. This role exercises independent judgment and delegated authority in making programmatic decisions related to enrollment strategy, advising systems, and pathway execution.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for student enrollment, advising, and transition systems across adult education, workforce non‑credit, and college credit pathways.
- Serve as the lead student coach/transition coordinator, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and alignment of advising and transition practices that promote persistence, retention, and successful outcomes.
- Lead enrollment processes, including admissions navigation, placement, and progression across program pathways, in coordination with Admissions, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Workforce Solutions, and academic divisions.
- Oversee and support student access to financial aid and scholarship application processes in coordination with appropriate College offices.
- Hold responsibility, within delegated authority, for monitoring and advancing enrollment, persistence, and transition outcomes for College Transition Programs in alignment with Director‑set departmental goals.
- Lead the design, coordination, and implementation of student orientations, enrollment sessions, and assessment events to support access and onboarding.
