Systems Engineer

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects
• Performs systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
• Provide technical direction for development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation and analysis & functional allocation
• Oversight of moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Performs continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
• Conduct system requirements reviews
• Develop Systems architectures

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science; additional years of experience in lieu of degree can be considered
• Required Experience:
  
  2+ years of related experience in Systems Engineering
• Required Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Red Hat, Linux and Solaris (a plus)
• Security Clearance Level: Secret
• Security+ CE certification/DoD 8140 compliant
• Location:
  
  On site in LA
• US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $66,560 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
