Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Resident Project Representative at our Bossier City, LA office to provide quality planning, designing and technical overview to assist the Project Manager/Client Account Manager in delivering projects within budgetary and time constraints.

• Conduct on-site inspection work for environmental, water, sewer, and other public works projects and programs.
• Inspect all phases of construction and improvement work contracted by the client to assure compliance with plans, standards, specifications, special requirements, codes and regulations.
• Review and process contractor invoices.
• Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Review and process work change directives/change orders.
• Prepare substantial completion punch lists.
• Review and approve contractor shop drawings.

• High School graduate or GED and minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods applicable to a municipal setting; working knowledge of applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to construction, inspection, and safety.
• Considerable knowledge of public utility/works inspection methods.
• Considerable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to prepare, organize and maintain inspection field and office data, reports and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Spoken and written fluently in English.
• Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communication skills.

• Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
• Signing Bonus: One-time signing bonus of $5,000, payable within 30 days of start date.
• Clawback Provision: If you resign or are terminated for cause within 12 months of start date, you agree to repay the signing bonus in full.
