Senior Mechanical Engineer
Imprimis Group/IGXperts is actively hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a high-impact onsite opportunity supporting advanced infrastructure and heavy manufacturing projects. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can take ownership of projects from concept through production, testing, and implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically strong engineer with deep manufacturing expertise, solid project leadership skills, and the technical horsepower to drive complex mechanical design initiatives.
WhatYou'll Own:
- Lead mechanical design for modular infrastructure systems, factory-built assemblies, and industrial product solutions.
- Drive HVAC, airflow/thermal management, piping/fluid systems, and controls integration design efforts.
- Develop engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and complete design packages.
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, technical risk, and engineering execution.
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, field services, and engineering teams.
- Support factory acceptance testing, commissioning, field troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Perform design validation including structural, vibration, fatigue, and thermal performance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and help drive design improvements, standardization, and manufacturability initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and OEM partners on technical evaluations and product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 6–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience within heavy manufacturing or industrial product development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, or ability to obtain quickly.
- Strong background in thermal systems, HVAC, piping/fluid systems, and mechanical fabrication design.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk products, or similar 3D CAD platforms.
- Hands-on manufacturing floor exposure and practical product implementation experience.
- Experience leading engineering projects from design through production launch.
- Knowledge of power distribution, industrial infrastructure, or modular systems highly preferred.
- Familiarity with FEA/CFD analysis workflows.
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Consulting engineering or commercial/industrial construction design experience is highly valued.
