THE BURKS COMPANIES, INC. (TBC) is looking to hire a full-time Specialty Technician team member experienced with multiple floor surfaces, a carpet technician, and has an extensive custodian background. We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance for high profile clients through an awesome team.

As a floor and carpet technician, duties include marble polishing, detail scrubbing tile, restoring grout floors in restrooms, stripping, waxing, burnishing floors, shampooing and extracting carpet. You will perform heavy duty floor maintenance, tile refinishing, pressure washing, high-dusting and other specialty projects. Report maintenance repair problems and keep floor equipment clean and maintained after each use.

• 21 years old or older.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and perform general floor tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for an entire shift.
• At least 3-5 years experience as a floor tech with knowledge of operating large machines throughout large commercial complexes.
• Extensive knowledge of floor care.
• Specialty Techs often required to perform upkeep and maintenance of large equipment.
• Must report maintenance repair problems directly to the Project Manager.
• Ownership of ensuring all floor equipment is clean and maintained after each use and safety precautions are followed at all times.
• Performs all duties of EVS cleaners and general cleaners on a larger scale.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and squatting.
• Frequent lifting of more than 40 pounds.
