Position Title:
Janitorial Operations Manager
Reports To:
DBA Management Team
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM – Flexible to adjust based on event schedule and operational needs.
The Janitorial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily and event-related janitorial services at Brookshire Arena. This role ensures that all facilities, including offices, restrooms, floors, and public areas, are kept clean, safe, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times. The Manager acts as the key link between Arena Management and DBA Management to maintain high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations- Supervise cleaning crews responsible for daily cleaning and trash removal of all facilities and offices.
- Ensure offices are cleaned on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or adjusted as needed for weekday events.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Oversee janitorial operations during events to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure restrooms are cleaned, stocked, and maintained throughout events.
- Coordinate crews for trash pickup, floor cleaning, emptying trash cans, and restocking janitorial supplies (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc.).
- Supervise post-event cleaning, ensuring that the arena bowl, restrooms, and floors are free of trash, swept, and mopped.
- Confirm all areas meet cleanliness standards before reopening.
- Maintain accurate inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment (mops, buckets, trash bags). Order supplies proactively to ensure operations are not disrupted due to shortages.
- Enforce safety practices and protocols for all janitorial staff and subcontractors.
- Conduct routine safety checks and provide guidance on safe cleaning procedures.
- Act as the main point of contact between Brookshire Arena Management and DBA Management.
- Provide regular updates and reports on operations, supply levels, staffing, and any issues that arise.
- Proven experience in janitorial or facilities management, preferably in an event or arena setting.
- Strong leadership and crew supervision skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as event schedules require.
