You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, and handle donor adverse events.
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions; follow actionable SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate with Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is needed by occupational health/ER.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate-equivalent recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completed FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years clinical or hospital setting experience.
U.S. hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan & company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits. U.S. based employees are eligible to receive up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year, and new hires accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
