Summary:
Prepare donuts, rolls, and Kolaches. Help with stocking inventory, maintaining supplies, and other support activities.
FLSA Classification:
Non-exempt
- Measure and prepare ingredients for food preparation
- Cook and bake donuts, rolls, and all other menu items for the restaurant
- Stock and label ingredients for food preparation
- Help to unload supplies for the restaurant from delivery and vendor trucks
- Notify management of inventory levels to ensure sufficient restock
- Wash utensils, baking tools, and other back of the house cleaning activities
- Sweep and mop the kitchen area to maintain cleanliness
- Adhere to all company and industry safety and sanitary standards
- Inform management of operational issues
- Help with front of the house tasks depending on business needs
- Other duties reasonably assigned by the team lead and/or general manager of the restaurant
- Obtain a valid Food Handler Certification
SCHEDULE COULD INVOLVE EARLY MORNINGS (3AM)
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in addition to the tasks above.
Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma. Experience in the restaurant or food preparation industry preferred.
Language AbilityAbility to read, write, and apply written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from customers, other employees, and vendors in English.
Math AbilityBasic math skills are required. Must be able to measure out ingredients and perform basic inventory/planning.
Reasoning AbilityBasic reasoning required. Ability to hear or read client orders or concerns and process them. Ability to follow recipes. Ability to receive a variety of instructions in oral, written or diagram form.
Management ResponsibilitiesThis position will not have any managerial responsibilities.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands or arms, talk and or hear for eight or more hours. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color recognition, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is fast paced and has a moderate to loud noise level.
