Security Officer; Swing Shift

General Accountabilities

• Provides protection for the casino, all employees, guests, and company assets.
• Guards all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of fills and credits.
• Responsible for adherence to health, fire, and safety regulations; identifies potential safety hazards and reports them to the appropriate personnel.
• Supports and maintains the Margaritaville Resort Casino courtesy guidelines and promotes outstanding guest service.
• Assists with disturbances and intoxicated guests as needed.
• Always promotes safety and confidentiality.
• Performs and completes all duties necessary to comply with Margaritaville’s mandated requirements, including gaming-related drops, card and dice reconciliation, inspection, cancellation, and destruction, re-issuance of poker cards, and transport of locked chip carriers and documents to and from the Chip Bank.
• Through alertness, diligence, specified procedures, and proactive attention to potential danger and security risks, protects guests, property, and staff from harm or loss.
• Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of the facility, as directed; or stands watch at an assigned security post, to oversee the comfort, safety, and security of guests.
• Greets all guests and staff in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.

• High School Diploma/GED, or six months to one year of experience in customer service; previous security and corrections experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a LA Gaming License and L.A.C.T.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, walk, and stop throughout the duration of shift.
• Excel both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to tolerate second‑hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
