Software Engineer/Developer (Shreveport / Bossier City, LA)

Apex Systems urgently seeks a Software Developer/Engineer for Bossier City, LA. This is an estimated 6‑month contract-to-perm opportunity for a large DoD/Government client across the East Coast.
Contract layout: 6‑month contract to perm hire.
Contract pay rate: $ - $ / hour.
Starting salary at perm hire: $85,000 plus full benefits.
Requirements- Secret Security Clearance (sponsor available)
- Security+CE within 90 days of start
- 2+ years of combined experience with software engineering/development/programming
- Experience with one of the following: C, C++, Linux, system/software design, Git Lab, Java
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teammates to research, design, develop, and modify enterprise‑wide systems and applications software.
- Analyze requirements, participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to resolve technical and usability issues.
- Contribute as an early‑career developer in a collaborative, mentorship‑focused environment with iterative, feedback‑driven development.
- Assist with designing software, creating models/diagrams, performing updates, testing, debugging, and documenting systems that support mission‑critical applications.
- Use programming, analysis, design, debugging, testing, and documentation tools to build and maintain high‑quality, enterprise‑wide software solutions.
