C​/C++ Linux Software Engineer

We're seeking a C/C++ Linux Software Engineer and application development experience to support mission-critical defense applications. This is a 100% onsite role in Bossier City, Louisiana, so local candidates or those willing to relocate before joining are strongly preferred.

About the Role

Security Requirement:
Candidates with an Active Secret Clearance are highly preferred. Candidates who previously held a Secret Clearance or are eligible to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise software using C/C++ on Linux.
• Design, code, test, debug, and maintain mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers through code reviews and Agile development.
• Troubleshoot software issues and improve application performance.
• Build and maintain software using GCC, Makefiles, Git/Git Lab, and Linux development tools.
• Participate in software design, documentation, and system integration.
• Support applications involving network communication and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C and C++.
• Knowledge of software design, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience using Git/Git Lab.
• Understanding of network communication (TCP/IP, sockets, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Previous Secret Clearance with ability to regain clearance.
• Experience obtaining Interim Secret Clearance.
• Experience compiling code using GCC and Makefiles.
• Bash/Shell scripting.
• Defense, aerospace, or government contractor experience.
