Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Job Description
Responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are accurately reflected in the system. Scheduled cycle counts are carried out three times per year, and any discrepancies are investigated and documented to identify root causes and resolve differences. Discrepancies, over/under amounts, and damaged products are reported to supervision.
This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must maintain a constant state of awareness and work in a safe manner. All applicants are required to undergo a pre-employment drug test, screening for substances such as amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidine, per the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) guidelines.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills, accurate results, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math. Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and operate a forklift or similar machinery on a daily basis.
Physical RequirementsRegular requirement to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move throughout the facility. Requires depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus. May need to lift up to 70 lbs. and consistently 55 lbs. while stooping, kneeling, reaching, and carrying inventory.
