Shipping and Receiving

Elite Business Resources is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist for a manufacturing client in Bossier City, LA.

This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with general warehouse operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a warehouse environment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries and materials.
• Inspect received items for quantity, condition, and accuracy.
• Compare shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions into the computer system.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
• Route received materials to the appropriate department or storage location.
• Process returned materials and place approved items back into inventory.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, protecting, and labeling materials.
• Verify quantities and condition of products before shipment.
• Load and prepare materials for transportation.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Monitor shipping and warehouse supplies and report inventory needs.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office or similar programs.
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may experience hot and cold temperatures. The position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, squatting, and handling materials throughout the workday. Candidates must also be capable of safely lifting and carrying materials as required by the position.
