Placers Professional is currently seeking an Office Manager/Accountant for our client based in Jamaica Plains, MA.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting & Office Management professional responsible for financial operations and supporting business activities across multiple entities.
This role requires experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, multi-entity, payroll, and month-end close. Success in this environment requires someone who thrives in a collaborative setting where everyone works together toward shared goals. Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed. Can do attitude.
- Daily accounting activities and month/quarter/year-end closes, Accounts Payable (invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor payments) and Accounts Receivable/Revenue (billing, collections, revenue recognition). Prepare and analyze financial reports, including aging summaries, forecasts, and reconciliations.
- Partner with HR to process U.S. payroll and administer employee benefits.
- Oversee compliance requirements, assist with audits, and coordinate global financial deliverables.
- Support operational needs, including inventory, product orders, office supplies, and vendor management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide occasional support to customers or distributors.
- Flexibility to take on varied responsibilities beyond accounting as needed, contributing to a team-oriented, family-like environment.
- BA or BS degree.
- 1-2 years of steady accounting experience covering AP, AR, revenue, payroll, and month-end close.
- Plus 3-5 years of Office Management in a professional setting.
- Must be in a commutable distance of 30 minutes maximum to the facility. This role is considered "essential employee".
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- desire of learning new accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, vendor/customer management, and process improvement.
- Experience processing payroll and coordinating related compliance activities.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively across departments.
