Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, month-end close, and general ledger maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to a collaborative finance team. This position is fully onsite in Jamaica Plain.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Reconcile balance sheet accounts (bank, credit card, AP/AR, accruals)

+ Support month-end and year-end close processes

+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed

+ Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

+ Support audits and provide requested documentation

+ Assist with process improvements and ad hoc reporting

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2-4 years of accounting experience

+ Strong understanding of GAAP

+ Proficiency with Excel and at least one accounting system (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Oracle)

+ Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
