Accounts Payable/Receivable Representative
Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the RoleWe are seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Representative who brings strong customer service skills and a solid accounting foundation. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned business accounts and is responsible for processing a variety of AP transactions, supporting vendors, and partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Review all invoices daily to ensure proper documentation and approvals prior to payment.
- Code invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports.
- Act as the main contact for assigned business units, providing prompt and professional support.
- Manage urgent or last-minute payment requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Work directly with vendors to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage discount opportunities; verify Tax ; ensure proper credits; and obtain ACH instructions for vendor payments.
- Review, verify, and audit employee expense reports for compliance with corporate travel policy.
- Participate in department-wide initiatives to support process improvements and strategic goals.
- Process check payments and match ACH pay cycles.
- Handle expense reimbursements and vendor management tasks.
- Support vendor audit reporting as needed.
- College degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Optional certifications (may be preferred by some employers):
- CAPA – Certified Accounts Payable Associate
- CAPP – Certified Accounts Payable Professional
