Staff Accountant, Boston or Pittsburgh Corporate Office – Boston, MA or Pittsburgh, PA
General Statement of Duties: Responsiblefordaily accounting functionsforcorporate entitiesas assignedandparticipatein the month-end close process to ensuretimelyandaccuratefinancial reporting.
Supervision Received: Works under the direction of the Corporate Controllerand Lead Corporate Accountant

Essential Functions of the Position: ( Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in positions of this class).
- Responsible for all aspects of the monthlycorporatebank reconciliation process, making necessary adjustments in a timely manner.
- Assist with month end close including account reconciliations, accruals,detailed general ledger review for proper account coding and service center segments, bookingreclassesas necessary.
- Responsible for preparation ofmonthlymanagement company receivablesreporting,regularlyreviewingreceivables,andfollowingup onoutstanding items.
- Assist with the preparation ofmonthly/quarterly cash basisservice center reporting ensuring expenses are properly coded to the appropriate service center.
- Assist with preparation of work papers for annual workers compensation audits.
- Process inter-company billingsandcompleteinter-companyreconciliations.
- Periodic preparation of financial statements.
- Preparemonthly/annual
Sales and Use Tax Returns. - Prepareannual work papers for audits and tax returns.
- Assistwithannualbudgetpreparation.
- Assistscorporate accounting team with special projects and ad-hoc reportingas needed.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Somegeneral ledger and month end close experience preferred.
Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities: Experience using Microsoft Exceland Word preferred.
Yardisoftware experience a plus.
Hard-working, self-motivated,with ability to work independently.
Must be detail oriented with proven organizational skills.
Must possess a desire to learn andmove up within the organization.
Ability to consistentlymeet deadlines and work under pressure due to work complexity and time sensitivity.
Due to time sensitivity of work, position may occasionally require extended hours on duringworkdays,holidays, and/or weekends during peak periods of business.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 annual salary
Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
