  • Establishing best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance team capabilities and support long‑term growth.
  • Overseeing accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, coding accuracy, payment timing, and vendor issue resolution.
  • Owning accounting for revenue, cash, deferred revenue, inventory, COGS, and operating expenses.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items across key accounts, including cash, payment processors, deferred revenue, gift cards, inventory, and accruals.
  • Overseeing inventory accounting and partnering with operations on inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Ensuring GAAP compliance, including execution of ASC 606.
  • Leading audit preparation and serving as the primary accounting contact for auditors and tax partners.
  • Owning accounting systems and process design within Workday Financials, including leadership of the Workday Accounting Center deployment.
  • Driving process improvements, documentation, and internal controls that scale with growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of people management experience, with prior roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or Assistant Director of Accounting.
  • Strong GAAP foundation with retail and/or ecommerce experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Multi‑unit month‑end close
    • Revenue accounting and deferred revenue
    • Cash and payment reconciliations
    • Inventory and cost accounting
  • Experience implementing or operating within Workday Financials or similar ERP systems;
