Senior Accountant

CFS has partnered with a Boston‑based professional services firm seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing Finance team. With more than 20 years of providing financial and operational support to clients across multiple industries, this organization offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant who wants high visibility, collaboration, and professional development.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and work closely with both Finance and Operations.

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

• Lead and execute month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare accurate financial statements and contribute to management reporting packages
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity across multiple business units
• Support budgeting and forecasting with detailed financial analysis
• Coordinate external audits, prepare schedules, and respond to auditor inquiries
• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Assist with AP/AR oversight and cash flow monitoring as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Public accounting or CPA preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting practices
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with modern accounting systems (Net Suite, Sage Intacct, etc.)
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem‑solving attitude

$90,000–$110,000, depending on experience
