Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function for our accounting team. This role is responsible for overseeing invoice processing, vendor payments, expense reporting, month-end close support, and continuous improvement of AP processes and controls. The ideal candidate is a strong accounts payable professional with deep knowledge of AP best practices, ERP systems, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, coding, approvals, payment processing, and reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payment runs.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures related to disbursements and vendor management.
- Monitor AP aging and resolve outstanding issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and 1099 preparation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Partner with Procurement, Accounting, and Finance teams to improve processes and support operational goals.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and process standardization across the AP function.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, GAAP, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience, including 1–2years in a leadership-levelrole.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and financial close procedures.
- Experience with ERP system experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
