Senior Accountant - Reinsurance

We’re seeking an experienced Reinsurance Accountant to support complex accounting and reporting activities across multiple operations within a collaborative, team?oriented environment. This role partners closely with internal teams and leadership to ensure accurate reinsurance administration, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement across multiple statutory and regulatory frameworks.

• Oversee reinsurance accounting activities, including treaty administration and transaction processing
• Prepare and support reinsurance reporting across US GAAP, NAIC, and Bermuda Statutory bases
• Analyze reinsurance transactions and ensure accurate recording and settlement
• Support internal and external reporting requirements, audits, and reconciliations
• Partner with cross?functional teams to improve workflows, documentation, and controls
• Assist in strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational efficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive experience in reinsurance accounting or insurance?related accounting
• Strong understanding of reinsurance structures, treaties, and accounting principles
• Experience working across multiple accounting frameworks (US GAAP, statutory reporting)
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast?paced, team?based environment
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with insurance or reinsurance systems preferred
