Accounting Manager - Private Equity Backed Consulting Firm in Boston (Hybrid)

Our client, a rapidly growing, PE-backed global consulting and advisory firm in Boston, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.

This role will own key aspects of the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process, oversee technical accounting matters across revenue recognition, leases, stock‑based compensation, consolidations, and purchase accounting, and partner closely with FP&A, Tax, HR, Legal, and external auditors. The position also offers exposure to multi‑entity, multi‑currency operations and the opportunity to drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls in a complex, evolving environment.

• Own key components of the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
• Prepare technically sound journal entries
• Deliver reconciliations that fully tie out and withstand audit scrutiny
• Investigate and resolve issues thoroughly
• Apply US GAAP across revenue, leases, sub‑leases, accruals, loan accounting, stock‑based compensation, consolidation accounting, and purchase price accounting.
• Support IFRS and international accounting requirements
• Evaluate accounting treatments and document positions
• Perform detailed analytical reviews and explain movements
• Partner with FP&A and own your numbers end‑to‑end
• Partner with HR, Legal, Tax, and FP&A
• Coordinate with auditors and advisors

• CPA
• 5–7 years’ experience, including Big 4
• Strong US GAAP expertise
• Working knowledge of IFRS

$130K - $150K base salary, dependent on experience
