Payroll Accountant | Hybrid | PE-Backed Global Consulting Firm in Boston

Our client, a highly respected PE-backed global consulting firm, is looking to add a Payroll Accountant to their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional or accounting professional with payroll experience who is looking to take on a highly visible role supporting both U.S. and international payroll operations. The position offers exposure to process improvement initiatives, internal controls, audit readiness, and global payroll expansion efforts.

• Process and support multi-state U.S. payroll operations
• Prepare payroll and benefits-related journal entries
• Manage payroll accruals, including PTO, bonuses, profit sharing, and other compensation liabilities
• Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet and expense accounts
• Support quarter-end and year-end payroll tax reconciliations
• Assist with W-2 preparation and year-end reporting activities
• Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
• Maintain data integrity across payroll, HRIS, and accounting systems

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of payroll accounting or payroll administration experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Net Suite, Rippling, or similar payroll/ERP/HRIS platforms
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and payroll tax compliance
• CPP certification is a plus

$70K - $90K base salary dependent on experience
