We are on the lookout for an outstanding and methodical Senior Director of Accounting and Controllership to play a crucial role at EDB as we prepare for significant growth and transition toward public company standards. Reporting to the VP of Accounting and Financial Operations, you will be the senior operational leader in charge of our global accounting functions, ensuring the integrity of our financial reports, enhancing our internal control environment, and developing robust financial reporting capabilities as we approach an IPO.

The selected candidate will be part of the finance leadership team, overseeing controllership operations, financial close processes, and external reporting functions, while leading a team comprising four direct reports and approximately twenty members across the global accounting organization.

• Global Accounting Operations & Reporting: Take full ownership of EDB's monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables for leadership and stakeholders. Focus on improving the timeliness and quality of reporting across the global accounting teams.
• Internal Controls & Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the Head of Accounting and other stakeholders to design and enhance EDB's internal controls function, establishing a robust compliance culture throughout the accounting organization.
• Technical Accounting & External Reporting: Lead technical accounting research and policy development on complex US GAAP areas, ensuring top-tier oversight on critical financial aspects. Build a strong external reporting framework capable of supporting EDB's growth.
• Audit Management: Act as the principal point of contact with external auditors, ensuring all deficiencies are addressed and supporting the Audit Committee with readiness milestones and financial disclosures.

  Function as a strategic accounting partner to FP&A, Legal, People, GTM, and Corporate Development, translating complex accounting matters for various stakeholders.
• Leadership & Team Development: Inspire and mentor the global accounting leadership team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

• 12+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in a public-company or comparable late-stage private-company accounting leadership position is essential.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with active CPA certification.
• Preferred experience with a mix of Big-4 or equivalent global audit firms and corporate accounting.
• Proven experience leading or significantly supporting internal controls programs, with in-depth knowledge of complex US GAAP areas, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity-based compensation, and financial impairments.
• Experience managing global accounting teams effectively.
• Hands‑on experience with Net Suite or similar ERP systems is mandatory; familiarity with Flo Qast or equivalent reporting tools is a plus.
• Experience in the software, SaaS, or technology sectors is strongly preferred; familiarity with a private‑equity‑backed environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the capability to engage with Audit Committees or Boards effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities in fast‑paced environments.
