Director, Property & Development Accounting
A leading real estate investment and development organization is seeking a Director of Property & Development Accounting to join its growing finance team. This leadership role will oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets and development projects while managing and developing a team of accounting professionals.

- d.6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry experienc
- e.Prior leadership or people management experienc
- d.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reportin
- g.Experience with complex ownership structures, partnerships, and real estate transaction
- s.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skill
- iesLead accounting and financial reporting activities for a portfolio of real estate assets and development projec
- ts.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporti - ng.
Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial statemen - ts.
Manage treasury-related activities, including cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and funding transactio - ns.
Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, tax, operations, and investments to support business objectiv - es.
Review and interpret loan agreements, partnership agreements, and other key legal documents impacting accounting treatme - nt.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting polici - es.
Oversee audit and tax support processes, including preparation of supporting schedules and coordination with external adviso - rs.
Review technical accounting matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, debt transactions, and other complex accounting issu - es.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficien - cy.
