Senior Property Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, variance analyses, property/tenant statistics, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage tax preparation and REIT testing processes.
• Supervise and review the work of Property Accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Take ownership of more complex property financial statements and reporting.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting.
• 5+ years of general ledger and financial statement preparation experience, ideally in a property management or real estate environment.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with GAAP and REIT testing.
• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.

Pay range:
The lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
