Publicly-traded, multi-billion dollar company is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to add to their team. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly revenue close process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, preparing revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations, and partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A.
The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, experience with complex revenue arrangements, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes
- Analyze customer contracts and apply revenue recognition guidance under ASC 606
- Prepare and review revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain deferred revenue and related balance sheet accounts
- Assist with SSP analyses and revenue allocation models
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Billing, and FP&A on contract review and operational processes
- Support external audits and provide requested documentation and analyses
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Assist with development and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 2–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance
- Advanced Excel skills and strong communication skills
