Job DescriptionThe Accounting Clerk supports the financial operations of the New England District, which includes iconic sports and entertainment venues such as Historic Fenway Park (Home of the Boston Red Sox), jetBlue Park, MGM Music Hall at Fenway, and Citizens House of Blues. The role handles accounts payable, assists with accounts receivable, and supports reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
This position reports to the Unit Controller.
Hourly rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities- Receive, review, verify, and reconcile invoices from vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review vendor statements on a monthly basis and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in preparing and posting accounts payable accruals.
- Support the Accounts Receivable Clerk with collecting outstanding invoice payments as needed.
- Assist with account reconciliations, including general ledger and vendor accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Communicate professionally with internal partners and external vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies.
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes (must have ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required).
- Adhere to company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of accounting, accounts payable, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
