Sr Cost Analyst

We've partnered with a dynamic, global manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Senior Cost Analyst to drive financial accountability and optimization across multiple production sites. This role goes beyond basic tracking—we need a sharp analyst who can dig into complex data, explain the "why" behind manufacturing variances, and manage intricate inventory and labor metrics to protect our margins.

• Variance Deep-Dives: Monitor, calculate, and report on critical production variances (PPV, material usage, scrap, and overhead absorption); investigate root causes and recommend process improvements to plant leadership.
• Inventory & Labor Management: Analyze complex labor utilization and factory floor efficiency. Manage the annual physical inventory plan, cycle counting programs, and obsolescence tracking.
• BOM & Work Order Control: Audit the accuracy of complex Bills of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing routings. Oversee the end-to-end work order close process and run month-end cost routines within the ERP system.
• Strategic Cost Reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly cost schedules, margin evaluations, and KPI dashboards for executive leadership and corporate finance.
• Business Partnering: Serve as the main finance point-of-contact for the Commercial and Supply Chain teams to provide accurate product costings and margin analysis.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive cost/inventory accounting experience within a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
• Systems: Advanced data management skills with hands-on proficiency in ERPs and advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
