Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Our client, a growing technology company based in New Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The role offers flexibility to work remotely, with approximately five days per month in the office.

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop members of the accounting team while driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Technology, SaaS, or high‑growth company experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading month‑end close, audits, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
