Overview
State Street’s Alternative Investment Solutions business group seeks a Fund Accounting & Administration Officer to serve as the hub of administrative services for hybrid hedge and private equity products. The role will supervise staff, manage internal workflow and client deadlines, and maintain strong relationships with client contacts across investment, auditing, legal, and banking functions.
Responsibilities- Supervise staff including Associate 1, Associate 2, and Senior Associate Staff.
- Manage internal workflow and meet client deadlines.
- Liaise with client personnel on a daily basis and coordinate client relationships.
- Review quarterly and annual financial work‑paper packages—including portfolio schedules, accruals, and partner capital allocations.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes, and coordinate annual audits.
- Prepare and review complex fee calculations, management fees, waterfall distribution, and capital account allocations.
- Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Leadership ability within the team and among peers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in administration and organization with a proven ability to multi‑task and meet client deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5‑6 years of Private Equity experience.
- Experience with alternate investment asset classes, complex fund structures, and fee calculations.
- Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment.
- CPA qualification is favorable but not required.
- Experience with Investran or Geneva.
Annual: $70,000 – $111,250 (range applies to the primary location; may vary for other locations).
