The Financial Reporting Manager will play a key role within the corporate accounting and reporting function, overseeing financial reporting, technical accounting, corporate close activities, and compliance initiatives.
This position provides meaningful exposure to SEC reporting, acquisition accounting, technical accounting research, and cross‑functional projects. This role is particularly well suited for someone coming from public accounting who wants to leverage their audit and technical accounting background while gaining broader ownership and strategic exposure within a successful public company.
- Manage corporate general ledger close activities and related reporting processes
- Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K
- Research, analyze, and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
- Oversee accounting and reporting related to lease accounting (ASC 842) and stock‑based compensation
- Support acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, and other strategic transactions
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit requests and deliverables
- Participate in SOX compliance initiatives and internal control assessments
- Review financial statements, disclosures, and cash flow reporting
- Drive process improvements and enhance reporting efficiencies
- Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Investor Relations, and business leaders on special projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience required (Big 4, national, or strong regional firm experience preferred)
- Combination of public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with SEC reporting and public company accounting preferred
- Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
