Responsibilities

  • leading the development and execution of investment accounting frameworks
  • ensuring consistency, strong controls, and high-quality financial reporting across business units
  • partnering closely with accounting, policy, and business teams to navigate complex investment structures
  • providing technical guidance and translating detailed analysis into clear, actionable insights for leadership
  • enhancing processes and driving greater efficiency and scalability in how investment accounting is performed
  • fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment, coaching talent, strengthening accountability, and contributing to a culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or master’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting, including public accounting and/or consolidated investment reporting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal control frameworks
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in investment accounting for both investment and non-investment companies across a range of products (including alternative structures: CLOs, LPs, Private Credit, Private Equity), with the ability to apply accounting guidance to drive consistent, accurate financial reporting
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and leading the implementation and ongoing optimization of new technology platforms, with an innovative and strategic mindset
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience coaching and developing others while maintaining accountability for outcomes
  • Ability to navigate and understand complex organizational and ownership structures
  • Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and an inquisitive mindset with a focus on strengthening processes and controls
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to translate detailed analysis into executive‑level insights and partner effectively across the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments
  • Curiosity for technology and experience working with financial systems, reporting platforms, and analytical tools
