Property Accountant
Location: Boston, MA
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
CFS is partnering with a growing real estate organization in seeking a Property Accountant to manage the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. This role is responsible for month-end close, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, budgeting support, and analysis of property operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Review property expenses and tenant-related accounting activity.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Yardi or MRI preferred).
