Back Lead Revenue Accountant

Revenue AccountantBoston, MA Area | Hybrid (Typically 1 day/week in office)
Fast-growing PE-backed SaaS company with ~$400M ARR is adding a newly created Revenue Accountant to the team. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with Sales and Deal Desk on operational revenue accounting, contract reviews, and ASC 606 compliance.
Compensation- $100-130K base + bonus
- Review customer contracts and ensure ASC 606 compliance
- Partner with Sales and Deal Desk on order management and revenue operations
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting
Manage revenue schedules and support implementation of Right Rev - Analyze revenue trends and identify process improvement opportunities
- Support audits, automation initiatives, and system enhancements
- Help drive accurate billing and minimize revenue leakage
- 2+ years of revenue accounting experience
- Public accounting or industry revenue accounting background
- Strong ASC 606 knowledge and contract review experience
- SaaS experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Salesforce experience is a major plus
- Experience with Right Rev or similar revenue tools preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to partner cross-functionally
- Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement a plus
