CFS is partnering with a growing real estate investment and management organization seeking a Property Accounting Manager to join its Boston, MA team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Property Accountant ready to take the next step into leadership while managing a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties and overseeing a team of two accounting professionals.

Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: 5 days per week in-office

The Property Accounting Manager will:

• Oversee the property accounting function for a designated real estate portfolio.
• Manage, mentor, and develop two direct reports.
• Review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and reporting packages.
• Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Partner with asset management and operations teams to support business objectives.
• Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance requirements.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.

The ideal Property Accounting Manager will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or a similar environment.
• Prior supervisory experience or a strong desire to move into leadership.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with property management/accounting software.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
