Staff Accountant
Draft Kings is a technology company headquartered in Boston.
Key Responsibilities- Support designated areas of the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with General Ledger activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and supporting documentation.
- Execute established internal controls and support compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Partner with Finance and cross‑functional teams to support accounting projects and business initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Assist with audit requests by preparing documentation and supporting internal and external audit activities.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting high‑quality financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or a fast‑paced corporate environment.
- Foundational knowledge of General Ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams.
- A willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously improve accounting processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is 55,400.00 USD – 69,300.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
