Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant opportunity with a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting activities (AP, AR, GL), and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant Accounting experience.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity, paying between $24-25/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model, onsite 3 days and remote 2 days.

• Maintain accurate financial records and carry out daily accounting activities (AP, AR, GL)
• Perform account reconciliations and support general ledger maintenance
• Assist in month/quarter/year-end closing processes
• Monitor accounting practices to ensure they comply with GAAP standards
• Facilitate financial operations in collaboration with other internal teams
• Assist in gathering financial statements and documentation as needed
• Provide additional support as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Understanding of GAAP concepts, procedures, and practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
