This is a full-time role at a Boston based real estate company, located in Boston, MA. This Accountant role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency supporting these substantial projects, ensuring accurate record-keeping and smooth financial operations.

Reports to the VP of Finance - Mission:
This individual will maintain accurate financial records and support the monthly close process for the company’s growing real estate projects. - Tech Stack:
Yardi
- Monthly Close:
Facilitate the monthly accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Transaction Management:
Process and manage daily financial activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash transactions. - Bank Reconciliation:
Maintain all company bank accounts and prepare comprehensive monthly reconciliations. - Journal Entries:
Execute accurate journal entries for applicable accounts, contributing to the overall accounting close procedures. - Special Projects:
Contribute to special accounting projects and initiatives as needed by the finance department.
- Background:
An Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (+2 years). This is an early-career role focusing on core accounting principles. - Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years of direct accounting experience, including familiarity with financial transaction processing and reconciliation. - Skills:
Proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, bank reconciliation, and general journal entry preparation. - Bonus:
Preferred proficiency with Yardi software.
