Payroll Analyst

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or weekly payroll for multi-state employees.
• Review and validate payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and taxes.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, taxes, and general ledger accounts.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
• Process employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
• Coordinate payroll activities with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting teams.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within HRIS and payroll systems.
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation, tax reporting, and payroll audits.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, internal controls, and compliance initiatives.
• Prepare payroll reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities.
• Support payroll system testing, upgrades, and implementation projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll processing or payroll analyst experience.
• Experience processing payroll for multi-state employees is preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG (Ulti Pro), Ceridian Dayforce, Paycom, Oracle HCM, or SAP Success Factors.
