Job Overview - Payroll Analyst
Compensation: $45 - $50/hour (Dependent on Experience)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Payroll Analyst in Boston, MA for our client, supporting multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and payroll operations. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with strong Ceridian Dayforce expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role will focus on full-cycle payroll processing, payroll tax administration, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilitiesas the Payroll Analyst:
- Payroll Processing: Process full-cycle multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule while ensuring compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Payroll Compliance: Audit payroll data, monitor tax with holdings, garnishments, deductions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
- Timekeeping Administration: Review and audit employee time records, resolve payroll discrepancies, and ensure accurate payroll inputs.
- Payroll Reporting: Prepare payroll reports, support year-end payroll activities, assist with W-2 processing, and maintain payroll documentation.
- Tax & Process Support: Monitor payroll tax notices, assist with payroll tax projects, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Employee Support: Respond to payroll-related inquiries and partner with Human Resources and Finance to resolve payroll issues and support payroll operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle multi-state payroll experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, payroll compliance, and multi-state payroll administration is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is strongly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
