Lead Revenue Accountant
Own key components of month-end close and GL account reconciliations. Manage the new revenue accounting system Right Rev, including opening/closing periods as part of the monthly close process. Prepare and record journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled, and related accounts. Analyze balance sheet and income statement trends to deliver actionable insights to management and support data-driven decision making. Prepare monthly revenue analysis report for management.
Assist with the accounting review of contracts with customers, ensuring proper documentation under ASC 606 and that any nonstandard findings are properly documented and set up for the appropriate accounting treatment. Own all order management tasks including order activation in Sales Force as well as managing revenue schedules in Right Rev to drive accurate revenue recognition. Proactively identify and mitigate revenue leakage related to overage invoicing.
Areas of focus will include detailed review of contracts with customers to capture invoice mechanics and work with Sales Ops and Accounts Receivable for accurate billing. Support and assist with implementation of new systems and processes related to usage-based billing and revenue recognition. Assist with external audit processes. Drive adoption of automation tools, AI, ERP enhancements, and other process improvements related to new revenue systems.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, working knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), advanced Excel skills and experience working with large ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Workday, Salesforce).
Preferred:
Experience with revenue accounting systems (e.g., Right Rev or similar), proven ability to improve processes, systems, or operational efficiency, experience supporting audits and working cross-functionally both internal and external to finance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Want to learn or have experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 guidelines. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage incoming deliverables. Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment.

This role is remote within MA, RI, or NH, with an expectation to be onsite at the Boston office one to two days per week.
