The OpportunityA well-established and growing CPA firm north of Boston is looking to add an experienced Tax Supervisor to its team.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who has built a solid public accounting foundation and is ready to take greater ownership of clients, engagements and people — without stepping into an overly corporate environment.
You’ll work closely with firm leadership and have meaningful exposure to clients across a broad range of industries, with plenty of opportunity to contribute beyond simply preparing returns.
What You'll Be Doing- Take ownership of multiple tax engagements from planning through completion.
- Review complex federal and state tax returns and supporting work papers.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, helping identify issues and opportunities rather than simply responding to requests.
- Work alongside Partners and senior leadership on tax planning, research and advisory matters.
- Help manage workflow, deadlines and engagement economics across your client portfolio.
- Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to Seniors and junior staff.
- Build deeper client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
- 6+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Active CPA license required
- Strong experience reviewing returns and managing multiple engagements.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and communicating complex tax matters clearly.
- Someone who can lead from the front while still being hands-on when needed.
- Strong organization, judgement and attention to detail.
- Experience with mainstream tax and accounting software is helpful.
This isn’t simply a title change.
The right person will have the opportunity to own client relationships, influence engagements, develop junior talent and work directly with experienced leadership in a firm that is continuing to grow.
